After a 2015 trip to the North Shore of Oahu, Claudia (16) and Van (15) were inspired to bring some of Hawaii back home. Starting as just an idea in 2015, Lani Ice quickly escalated into a ‘real thing’. In the spring of 2016 we began the construction of ‘the Shack’ in our driveway. This shack was designed and built as a completly stand alone "Green" system powered only by the sun. The name "Lani Ice" came to us as the best way to describe Hawaiian Shave Ice. Lani is Hawaiian for "heavenly", translating to the name, Heavenly Ice. The shave ice in Hawaii is unlike any snow cone or water ice found here in the states, so we decided people shouldn’t have to travel nearly 5,000 miles to experience it. Made with vanilla ice cream, soft and fluffy shave ice, tropical flavors, and condensed milk on top, it's definitely something to try and inevitably find irresistible. Along with shave ice, we decided to add smoothies and acai bowls which are also very popular in Oahu. Smoothie/Acai bowls, if you are unfamiliar with them, are thick smoothies topped with a design of fresh fruit, granola, coconut, honey, etc.

Please stop by and enjoy a little taste of the Hawaiian Islands.
